This is a smooth and velvety medium bodied shiraz. Spicy fruit with a layer of loamy earthy characters. The oak is understated allowing the fruit to express itself. IT’s an easy drinking wine with dry tannins making it an ideal light red meat or pasta partner.
Boy, this captures every ounce of goodies from this variety. It’s brilliantly alive in the glass with tropical fruits and a decent splash of lemon and passionfruit bursting out. The palate is crunchy and fruity with a nice sweet fruit character balanced by crisp acid. Yummy stuff,
The grassy notes of the semillon take control on the nose with the sweet tropical fruit characters of the savvy sitting comfortably underneath. It’s balanced with a crisp lemon feel on the palate. Fine lingering finish.
Amberley shiraz 2013 ($17)
A lovely soft and supple shiraz. It’s spicy and lively with a delicious plummy blackberry richness on the palate. The oak is understated and balanced. A touch of pepper and coffee grinds adds a nice complexity. So smooth and appealing.
