A punchy and quite racy white blend capturing plenty of zesty tropical fruit characters with an overlay of herbaceousness. The palate has a crisp acid and the fruit lifts to a clean fresh finish.
Controlled and well-presented chardonnay. A mix of peachy stone fruit with a layer of fig and subtle roasted cashew. The palate trikes a nice balance of oak and fruit with the finish long and pleasing. There’s a little minerally cereal-like character which adds complexity and intrigue.
Miles from Nowhere cabernet merlot 2013 ($19)
Distinct cool mint aroma on the nose of this medium-bodied blend from Margaret River. It’s leafy with red berry and some deeper fruitcake infusions. Strikes a nice oak and fruit balance with subtle chalky tannins. Ideal as a current drinking red wine.
