RAY JORDAN WINE GUIDE 2016
Victory Point Margaret River chardonnay 2011 ($40)
This excellent small producer from Margaret River has been gradually creeping up over the last few years and is now making wines of consistency and class. This is a beautifully constructed wine. It has a distinct minerally line through the very long palate. It’s more restrained than most in Margaret River and very much in the modern idiom but it still retains good fruit complexity and intensity. Excellent wine for the next few years.

Victory Point rosé 2015 ($23)
One of the best and most consistent rosés made in WA. It’s light bodied with a brilliant pale crimson colour. Gets a small amount of oak fermentation of texture and palate feel. Light cherry and red currant flavours with a crisp fresh palate. Ideal summer drinking.
SCORE 93/100 CELLAR 3 years
Victory Point cabernet sauvignon 2010 ($40)
A really attractive cabernet-dominant wine from Margaret River. It’s also got a little cabernet franc, malbec and petit verdot in it. Floral and leafy but nothing to suggest anything but full ripe intense cabernet fruit. Blackcurrant and tobacco leaf rolled together. Seamless and elegant with a rich mid palate.
SCORE 93/100 CELLAR 10 years
