3drops Riesling 2016 ($25)

Opens with a powerful and incredibly intense hint of lemon zest on the nose. The palate delivers with so much of that citrus tang cut with a piercing minerality and fine acid to burst through to the long finish. Another cracking good Riesling from one of the state’s best vineyards for this variety.
SCORE 93/100 CELLAR 6 years

3drops shiraz 2014 ($25)

There is a plushness and density in this shiraz that I haven’t seen before with 3drops. It is an immensely appealing wine brimming with savoury and slightly earthy loamy shiraz characters. The palate is smoothly textured with a fine balance of fruit and oak. Lip smacking finish. Impressive.
SCORE 92/100 CELLAR 6 years

3drops cabernets 2014 ($25)

The lifted aromatics and high perfumes seem to be a result of the addition of cabernet franc. The outcome is a very good little cabernet blend. There is deceptive depth and punch on the palate with its distinctly blackcurrant flavours and traces of cedary oak. Slightly assertive palate gives definition to a finely crafted wine.
SCORE 89/100 CELLAR 6 years
