Abbey Creek Vineyard

Abbey Creek Vineyard

Abbey Creek has been a consistent winner of show awards across all its varieties, particularly Riesling and pinot noir – a testament to the quality of the fruit from this particular vineyard site. The Rieslings are outstanding, with a tremendous potential to age, and the pinots are starting to really excel.

Abbey Creek Riesling 2015 ($25)

Consistently one of the favourite Australian Rieslings. Comes from the bracing clime of the Porongurup, a region ideal for producing pristine crisp Rieslings such as this. Precise minerals and spicy characters on the nose with a splash of lime. Deceptive intensity drives long to the finish.
SCORE 95/100 CELLAR 8 years

Abbey Creek pinot noir 2015 ($30)

The pinots from Abbey Creek have risen to a new level in recent years. The fruit shows a depth and intensity that must be coming from their maturity. There’s lots of sour cherry and light plum with some subtle spicy oak. It’s medium bodied with fine chalky tannins. Impressive young pinot.
SCORE 93/100 CELLAR 6 years
