Bonking Frog Wines

Bonking Frog is a small winery passionate about growing beautiful wines in a sustainable way. The vineyard on the banks of the Preston River, in the heart of Geographe, is planted entirely to merlot, because the owners love the varieties of soft velvety tannins and rich berry flavours. And its name? Well it certainly jumps out at you.

Bonking Frog Summer merlot 2016 ($22)

This is a very appealing light rose-style wine from merlot. Has a neat lift of aromatic berry on the nose. The palate is crisp and clean with a lingering flavoursome finish. Nice acid holds its line to the finish.
SCORE 92/100 CELLAR 2 Years

Bonking Frog Winter merlot 2014 ($25)

Soft and supple merlot showing some generous flavours with good intensity. Aromas of dark chocolate and blackcurrant fruitcake. The palate is smooth and seamless with an excellent tannin and oak balance. Firm dry finish is ideal for matching with food.
SCORE 90/100 CELLAR 5 years
