Houghton Café provides a much sought after combination of delectable food and friendly service, in relaxed surroundings. The café flows out under beautiful old vines and onto perfectly manicured lawns dotted with jacarandas and Norfolk Island pines. Or if you prefer an indoor table, you can take a seat in the Moondyne Room, an atmospheric old part of the winery with original barrels, dark beams and rustic red bricks.
Houghton Café’s resident executive chef, Herb Faust, was the only contestant to beat an Iron Chef on Channel 7’s 2010 series of the iconic show. Herb’s seasonal menus are developed with an emphasis on fresh, local and Australian produce, and boast international flavours that feature his diverse culinary skills. From tapas-style share dishes, to contemporary main meals, and delicious desserts, there is sure to be something on the menu for even the most discerning of diners. You’ll also find our set menu options for group bookings equally as inviting.
So pick your favourite wine from Houghton’s award winning cellar door, then join us for lunch. We’re open Tuesday to Sunday between 11am and 3pm.
