Credaro Family Estate

Credaro Family Estate

The Credaro family settled in Margaret River in 1922. Initially, small plots of vines were planted to provide the family with table wine. Commercial vines followed in the 1980s and 1990s and today the family manages 100 hectares in the subregions of Carbunup and Treeton. The Beach Head range is great value and the Estate range is high quality.

Credaro Five Tales sauvignon blanc semillon 2016 ($21)

Precise and pristine blended white with the dominant creamy tropical characters of the sauvignon blanc a feature. The lemon herbaceous semillon provides a neat lift. Splash of citrus to finish.
SCORE 89/100 CELLAR 3 Years

Credaro Five Tales chardonnay 2016 ($21)

This fruit-driven chardie gets just a trace of oak, but it still plays a significant part in refining the package into a neatly presented and focused wine. Melony fruit with a splash of citrus pulls it along nicely to a persistent finish.

Credaro Kinship chardonnay 2015 ($32)

A beautifully made chardonnay capturing some quality fruit. Notes of stone fruit with white peachy nectarine characters on the nose. The palate has been brought into focus with a slightly linear structure. Oak is worked in perfectly to produce that minerally crispness on the finish. Classy wine.

Credaro Family Estate 1000 Crowns chardonnay 2014 ($65)

A most delicate and subtle chardonnay that is a new edition to the Credaro portfolio. Light white peach and subtle roasted cashew with a splash of citrus on the nose. The palate is so beautifully refined with a minerally purity that carries it through to a long finish. Delicate, yes, but still with typical Margs’ power.

Credaro Five Tales cabernet merlot 2014 ($21)

Mighty impressive value-for-money blended red. Leafy notes of cherry and red currant on the nose. The palate is seamlessly structured with a fine infusion of tannins and oak to pull the sweet fruit together. Finishes with good persistence. Ideal for the medium term

Credaro Kinship cabernet sauvignon 2014 ($32)

The striking feature of this quality cabernet is the aromatics of cherry and violet with a decent hit of typical blackcurrant. It’s so rich and concentrated with masses of sweet fruit balanced with a little cedary oak. Ripe tannins work well into the palate with its multilayers of flavour impact. Dry finish completes things perfectly.
