Frog Choir cabernet shiraz 2008 ($30)

Starting to show some really attractive tertiary characters on the nose. There’s that touch of old library books and spicy leather. Still holding together nicely. Plenty of plump opulent fruit with the shiraz filling the cabernet perfectly. Good oak treatment allows the fruit to express itself perfectly. Nice current drinking and starting to show a leathery fruitcake and spicy character.
SCORE 90/100 CELLAR 4 Years

Frog Choir shiraz cabernet 2010 ($30)

Moving comfortably into its secondary stage of development but with plenty still left in the tank. The stronger savoury earthy dominance of the shiraz provides plenty of drive for this excellent red blend. Previous wines have been cabernet dominant and this adds a new dimension to the style. Rich dark chocolate and earthy savoury plum flavours. It is dense and lush with liberal use of oak to support with powerful fruit.

Frog Choir shiraz cabernet 2011 ($30)

Balanced and complex shiraz cabernet blend from an underrated small producer. Savoury spicy plums and deep blackcurrant merge seamlessly with the support of grainy tannins and a subtle lick of oak. There’s some rather nice chocolate and mocha characters with a delicate clove-like nuance. Ideal for drinking over the next few years. Lush and opulent palate developing nicely.
