The Knee Deep name reflects a passionate commitment to produce premium Margaret River wines. Established by Perth surgeon and yachtsman Phil Childs and his wife Sue, the Knee Deep venue has become a not-to-be-missed destination when in the region. The range of wines is already excellent and the award-winning restaurant is outstanding.

Knee Deep Hayley’s Limited Release shiraz 2014 ($65)

These mature vines are starting to punch out some impressively concentrated and deeply flavoursome fruit. Opens with a cedary and slightly savoury aroma. The palate is more towards medium bodied but there’s a lot happening in there. Savoury fruit with good tannin and oak integration. Seamless with a subtle dustiness.

Knee Deep sauvignon blanc 2015 ($22)

A punchy and super lively savvy brimming with tropical fruit, a dash of herbaceousness and a squeeze of lemon. It has good persistence through to the finish. Clean and minerally in the mouth.

Knee Deep Kim’s Limited Release chardonnay 2013 ($45)

Intense and deeply textured chardonnay. Aromas of custard apple and creamy stone fruit with a mealy grapefruit edginess. The palate is deep and layered with a seamless integration of fruit and oak. A touch of spice and a little citrus rounds out a good wine.
