Nannup Ridge Rolling Hills chardonnay 2015 ($32)

This is a classy chardonnay from the Blackwood Valley. There is a steely tread through the light melon and subtle nuttiness of the palate that I really like. Lively and precise palate with a sustained and impressive finish. This is a most promising wine that points to some exciting things from this small producer with its white varieties.
SCORE 92/100 CELLAR 6 years

Nannup Ridge Rolling Hills cabernet sauvignon 2014 ($32)

Excellent, medium-bodied and most stylish cabernet from the Blackwood Valley. It shows what this underrated region can really deliver. Red fruits with a lift of scented cedar on the nose. The palate has a grainy sinewy thread but with a deep intensity of that mediumweight fruit. Balanced and poised on the finish.
SCORE 92/100 CELLAR 8 years
