Peos Estate

Peos Estate

Manjimup has been home to the Macedonian-born Peos family for more than 80 years. Brothers Vic, John, Kon and Chris banded together in 1996 to create their vineyard as a legacy to their grandfather who made wine in Macedonia nearly a century ago. Among the most impressive and promising new small producers on the block.

Peos Estate Four Aces chardonnay 2014 ($35)

One of the best chardonnays yet from this excellent small Manjimup producer. Enticing mix of tasty cashew and nectarine aromas with some nice mealy influences. The palate has such poise and expression with rich stone fruit held with fine grained oak and a spicy minerally acidity. Long finish. Like where it’s drinking at this stage of its journey.
SCORE 92/100 CELLAR 4 years

Peos Estate Four Kings Single Vineyard pinot noir 2015 ($30)

Tasted on two separate occasions and there is no doubt the first bottle may have been damaged because the second tasting was infinitely better, hence my points are higher. Brimming with opulence and delicious sweet fruit. It has a distinctive cherry blackberry fruitiness with a subtle cedary oak background. Ripe supple tannins and a smooth velvety finish.
SCORE 90/100 CELLAR 5 years
