Plantagenet York chardonnay 2015 ($35)

Mighty good chardonnay. The nose is most attractive. Spices and stone fruit with a melony citrus influence. The palate is controlled with excellent definition and focus. Mealy with spices and brioche characters. Textured with a sustained finish.
SCORE 92/100 CELLAR 5 years

Plantagenet Aquitaine cabernet sauvignon 2014 ($35)

A solid cabernet. It’s a medium-bodied wine packing heaps of rich flavour. Varietal blackcurrant with a tobacco leaf and slightly earthy savoury character. The tannins have a sinewy feel with the oak neatly subordinate to the wine. Has a subtle sappy character on the finish. Excellent wine in the medium term.
SCORE 92/100 CELLAR 10 years
