Brygon Reserve The Flying High cabernet merlot 2013

“The King of Wines”
Brygon Reserve The Bruce is inspired by Robert The Bruce King of Scotland (1274 – 1329) Defeated at battle, ‘KING ROBERT THE BRUCE, found refuge in a cave. While resting he watched a spider spinning a web. The Spider fell down time after time, but finally succeeded. THE BRUCE then decided to re-enter his battle and told his men “IF AT FIRST YOU DON’T SUCCEED TRY TRY AND TRY AGAIN!”

Tasting Note:
Blackberry & ripe black currants dominate the nose with hints of black pepper and spice. The palate is round and full with fine tannins perfectly integrated with subtle oak.

Wine Guide 2016

A lovely expression of Margaret River merlot. Sweet dark blackcurrant fruits with a little fruitcake character, spices and some edgy licorice. There’s some nice chocolate and mocha notes in there adding further complexity. Dry savoury tannins provide balance and support. CELLAR 5 years
