INTRO
Fresh aromas of ripe blackberries, cherries and chocolate/mocha notes. Underlying Christmas cake spice, raising, brandies fruits and aged leathery notes add complexity. Excellent persistent fine bead form a delicate crown, with an elegant and harmonious palate of complex yeasty notes and caramel flavours. Soft and balanced with a sweet rich brooding mid palate, finishing with fine dry tannins. Especially crafted to capture its intricate style for enjoyment now, or cellar to gracefully enhance its aged complexity and sophistication. Disgorged 07/2014

Here is a perfect example of the benefits of keeping sparkling red wines for a few years to allow them to build complexity and richness. This one based on merlot has started to show some spicy leathery characters, especially on the nose. The palate is soft and supple with that delightful mix of blackberry and chocolate with a lift of spicy cherry. Very nice current drinking wine. CELLAR 4 years
