Evans & Tate Metricup Road chardonnay 2014

Quality chardonnay for the price. Has a level of sophistication with a mix of light stone fruit and brioche plus a nutty citrus tang on the palate. There’s good weight and structure. Fine grained oak works neatly to harness the fruit through to a sustained finish. Plenty to like about it.
SCORE 91/100 CELLAR 5 years

Palate: Bright, fresh and long with lovely flavor intensity. Subtle textural and savoury elements from wild fermentation on solids adds complexity and the stamp of house style.

Winemaker: Matt Byrne
Last Tasted: 19-03-2015
Peak Drinking: This wine is drinking well now but careful cellaring until 2017+ will be rewarded.
