Ray Jordan Wine Guide 2016
Excellent cabernet sauvignon from the heart of one of the oldest vineyards in the Wilyabrup area. Leafy black fruits on the nose with a dark chocolate and tobacco like influence. The palate combines excellent fruit with judicious oak use and good tannin management. There is an effortless feel as the palate extends to a long finish.

Appearance: Dark ruby red.

Aroma: Vibrant notes of blackcurrant, black cherry and dark chocolate.

Palate: Full bodied and structured, the palate is framed with firm but silken tannins. Rich blackcurrant, black cherry fruits complement classic Margaret River characters of bay leaf and lavendar. Secondary oak notes of dark chocolate and cigar box add richness and complexity before a long, structured finish.

Oak Detail: Hand-picked, hand-plunged in open top fermenters. 18 French oak barriques.

Varietals: 97% Cabernet 3% Shiraz
