Gralyn Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

The highly regarded flagship wine vintaged from Gralyn unirrigated old vine Cabernet Sauvignon, planted in 1975. This ‘Reserve’ is a selection of the ‘best of the best’ barrels. Dense dark crimson in colour, perfumed with blackcurrant, violets, cedar and spice. The palate is well balanced, intense and powerful with a core of sweet fruit and finely textured tannins supporting a long persistent finish. This wine will reward careful cellaring.

Wine Guide 2016

An immensely powerful and concentrated cabernet that has clearly been built with extended cellaring in mind. Deep blackcurrant and black olive characters on the nose with a leafy tobacco-like influence. The palate is wrapped tightly with some high-quality fine grained oak. This is a highly sophisticated multi-layered cabernet capturing the very best of the variety in an exceptional year. CELLAR 20 years
