Gralyn Estate Reserve Shiraz 2011

Gralyn Estate is regarded as one of Margaret River’s top Shiraz producers. The first Shiraz was vintaged in 1979 and time has proven these wines have the ability to age beautifully in the bottle. This ‘Reserve’ is a selection of the ‘best of the best’ barrels. Deep purple crimson in colour, perfumed with spice, blackberry, plum and cedary oak. The palate is supple, well balanced and richly flavoured with ripe black fruits, cedar and spice. A core of sweet berry fruit and finely structured tannins support a long, persistent finish. This wine will reward careful cellaring.

Wine Guide 2016

An immensely powerful and concentrated cabernet that has clearly been built with extended cellaring in mind. Deep blackcurrant and black olive characters on the nose with a leafy tobacco-like influence. The palate is wrapped tightly with some high-quality fine grained oak. This is a highly sophisticated multi-layered cabernet capturing the very best of the variety in an exceptional year. CELLAR 20 years
