Juniper Small Batch Rosé 2017

Tasting Notes

Made with our southern Tempranillo and northern Shiraz this
wine is made in a dry style, similar to those from France and Spain.
Wonderfully ripe strawberry, cherry and raspberry on the nose along
hints of watermelon, spice and roasted almonds that follow through
to the palate. It is soft and textural, while finishes savoury, dry and
long. Enjoy on its own or a wide range of tomato based dishes,
anything spicy and great with pizza.

Winemaker’s Notes

The handpicked grapes for our Rosé come from our Tempranillo
vines grown on our Forest Grove vineyard in the southern half
of Margaret River and from our dry grown Shiraz vines on our
Wilyabrup vineyard where the winery is located. The grapes were
picked at a time when the flavours were bright and lifted so that
those expressive flavours would be the vitality of the wine and the
barrel fermentation providing the body. Dry rosés are such versatile
wines that they can be enjoy without food or accompanying a wide
range of food flavours.

Wine Guide 2016

A blend of sauvignon blanc and semillon with the whole bunches pressed into oak for fermentation and further maturation. The result is a wine that has excellent depth and fruit concentration with the tropical fruit and citrusy lift of the grapes and the nutty lemon influence of the oak. There’s a nice waxy feel to it as well. A wine for the cellar. SCORE 94/100 CELLAR 10 years
