The 2015 vintage was warm and dry providing perfect conditions for the early-ripening varieties of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. As with previous releases, the majority was fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain freshness and vitality and at cool temperatures facilitating a gradual conversion of sugar into alcohol by selected yeasts. 8% was barrel fermented in new French oak. This years blend is 55% Semillon 45% Sauvignon Blanc. The Sauvignon Blanc contributes aromatic elements with the Semillon providing the weight and depth of flavour on the palate. Since 1996, the Lenton Brae Margaret River Semillon Sauvignon has been awarded 7 trophies and 11 gold medals at regional, state and national competitions.

The Wine Front
"The fruit is pretty much all co-fermented. It's lean and racy and very refreshing. Citrus scents matched to green bean, nettles, grassiness. It's a pleasing way to kick off things. Tight and crisp in the palate, drives with great energy in a needle-shaped thrust across the palate. Great balance and mesh of flavours. Finishes very mouthwatering. Great drinking here."
