Our winemaker, Bruce Gregory has crafted the NV “Minuet” from small parcels of wine from our Riesling block. The wine had been put through the traditional “bottle fermentation” method of sparkling wine production, resulting in a very fine “bead”, great mouth feel and long and complex finish.
The wine is packaged in a radically new bottle, with a great drawing of a couple dancing the Minuet printed onto the bottle. It’s a very spectacular package.
The Minuet really is a winner!
Majella “Minuet” NV
Minuet – a social dance of French origin, usually in 3⁄4 time; the musical form which accompanies the dance.
The first release of Majella’s Minuet was in 2012.
The Minuet is an aperitif style sparkling, made using the bottle fermented “méthode traditionelle” process.
As the Minuet is a NV, we can’t give you the multiple vintage conditions!
Aromatics of apple, citrus and honey dew. A persistent fine bead and a crisp clean finish.
Cellaring: Whilst the Minuet is made to enjoy fresh and young, it will develop lovely toast aromas with bottle age.
Our pours are 30ml: x 3 = 1 standard drink = 100ml @ 13% alcohol
