Wine Guide 2016

A really pure expression of chardonnay with winemaker Glenn Goodall not using malolactic fermentation. It has had some lees stirring to generate complexity and richness and for what is a lightly framed wine it carries plenty. It’s creamy with a balancing savoury character and a precise fine acid taking it to a very long finish. CELLAR 7 years

A gorgeous wine, which is number three on Xanadu's hierarchy, but many wineries would be happy to have as their flagship. Clean, fresh nut and marzipan aromas lead into an intense, refined, tight palate of crystalline purity and length.
