Rockcliffe Quarram Rocks shiraz cabernet 2014 ($21)

Delicious appealing blend of shiraz and cabernet. It’s supple and fleshy with a medium weight that creates such a smooth elegance through the palate. Lots of ripe fruit characters with blackcurrant and spicy plum influences. Nice wine in the medium term.
SCORE 89/100 CELLAR 5 years

Rockcliffe Third Reef chardonnay 2015 ($30)

A light bodied and quite delicate chardonnay with a beautiful opening fragrance. Stone fruit and light citrus aromas dominate with a waft of cashew and brioche. The palate is textured with a creamy middle. The acid tightens the screws on the finish to keep it focused.
SCORE 88/100 CELLAR 4 years

Rockcliffe Single Site chardonnay 2015 ($45)

Stunning chardonnay capturing so much of this cooler region. Fragrant and highly perfumed scents of citrus and lemon blossom with subtle roasted cashew and classic nectarine. The palate displays a purity of expression with the oak and fruit harmoniously woven into a long sustained penetrating finish. A little vanilla pod adds a subtle dimension.
SCORE 95/100 CELLAR 5 years

Rockcliffe Third Reef shiraz 2014 ($30)

A compelling mix of savoury fruit and spices on the nose. This is a terrific, well-presented wine showing deep fruit intensity of medium body. The oak and tannins sit comfortably within the succulent palate that extends easily to a long finish.
SCORE 89/100 CELLAR 5 years

Rockcliffe Single Site cabernet sauvignon 2014 ($45)

The cabernets from this excellent small producer from Denmark have really hit their straps in the last years. This is another cracker displaying all that plush generosity of this region but held with a focus and structure by the excellent tannin and oak management. Leafy red fruits with a trace of cedar and you have a pretty good wine.
SCORE 93/100 CELLAR 10 years
